About the project

Black-and-white imagery and handwritten type carry a restrained emotional tension. Two figures sit back to back — a visual of estrangement; the characters, in irregular strokes and ink splatter, speak of broken feeling and the residue of memory. The composition moves slowly, strokes following emotion, and the stark contrast deepens the loss: a quiet poetry of missing and the irretrievable.
